Bone & Joint Health

How is AIC therapy different from regular calcium supplements for bone health?

Regular calcium supplements have an orbital chemical bond structure, so they cannot stay in a free, active ionic form and instead attach to negatively charged minerals. AIC is Antiorbital Ionic Calcium, which does not bind to negatively charged elements and is absorbed in the stomach and duodenum. Rather than giving the body a calcium load, which can lead to calcification, AIC therapy moves calcium from soft tissues and cells, where it does not belong, back into the bone. It also helps the body make more of its own calcitonin and normalizes osteoclast–osteoblast calcium signaling, so bone resorption and bone formation stay in balance.

After how many months or years of taking Highest-Concentration AIC should a new bone scan be requested?

Bone mineral density can be checked after 12 months.

Where does calcium go when it leaves the bones?

Bone is living tissue, and it can heal and grow stronger. Sometimes calcium slowly leaves the bones and collects in soft tissues and cells, where it does not belong and can cause problems. AIC therapy helps move this misplaced calcium back into the bones. It also helps the body make more calcitonin, its own natural bone-building hormone.

Does your patient still need regular calcium supplements after starting AIC therapy?

No. When the patient starts AIC therapy, you can stop their regular calcium supplements. While the patient uses AIC therapy, extra calcium is not necessary. Regular calcium supplements can also cause calcium to build up in the wrong places. The patient can keep taking magnesium and other vitamins but should wait at least 30 minutes after AIC before taking them.

A 65-year-old female patient has hemochromatosis, being treated with scheduled bloodletting, along with advanced osteoporosis, advanced dementia/Alzheimer's, painful knee joints and loose teeth. Since Highest-Concentration AIC, AIC Neuro-Support Formula, AIC Joint-Support Formula and AIC Dental-Support Formula all have the same foundational base of AIC calcium, with some added variations to reach targeted body parts, should all four help with her osteoporosis?

Yes, this approach may also handle osteoporosis, which is the reason for many diseases.

The same calcium-restorative rationale extends to the peripheral tissues. In osteoporosis, AIC would be expected to normalize osteoclast–osteoblast calcium signaling and elicit endogenous calcitonin, attenuating resorption and conserving bone mineral. In the painful knee, it would modulate COX-2–driven inflammation and promote CaSR-mediated clearance of pathologic periarticular calcification, improving joint mechanics. In periodontally loosened dentition, it would restore calcium signaling in alveolar bone and the attachment apparatus to reinforce anchorage. In hemochromatosis, it would attenuate iron-driven oxidative stress and stabilize cellular calcium handling, alongside conventional approaches.

An 81-year-old man fell while out walking and broke his humerus at the shoulder, and he is in a lot of pain. What should he know about bone healing and the benefit of taking Highest-Concentration AIC?

Bone is living tissue, and it can heal and grow stronger over time. To do this, the body needs to keep calcium in the right place. Sometimes calcium slowly leaves the bones and collects inside soft tissues and cells, where it does not belong and can cause problems. AIC therapy uses a special form of calcium that helps the body use calcium in the right way again. Little by little, it helps guide this misplaced calcium back into the bones, where it is truly needed.

AIC therapy also helps the body make more of its own calcitonin, a natural hormone that tells the body to build bone. This "wakes up" the cells that make new bone, so the body can rebuild and strengthen the bone it has lost. At the same time, it helps keep the calcium in the blood balanced, which is good for the whole body. For all these reasons, AIC therapy may help his bones heal better and become stronger and healthier.

Your patient receives an osteoporotic drug injection every 6 months. Can you start Highest-Concentration AIC, and do you need to wait 3 additional months after the last injection?

Guideline: If the patient plans to continue the osteoporotic drug, starting Highest-Concentration AIC is not recommended. If the patient discontinues the osteoporotic drug, you do not need to wait an additional 3 months before starting Highest-Concentration AIC. Advise the patient not to stop the osteoporotic drug on their own; the decision to stop should be made with the prescribing physician.

Rationale: This recommendation is not based on a contraindication or a known interaction. The osteoporotic drug works on only one side of bone balance, while AIC therapy aims to balance both bone resorption and bone formation. Using them together may therefore reduce the expected efficacy of AIC therapy.

Do all AIC products help with osteoporosis?

All AIC products have the same AIC calcium base, with small changes to help certain parts of the body. Because of this, they may all help with osteoporosis (bone loss). In osteoporosis, AIC is expected to balance the cells that break down bone and the cells that build bone, and to help the body make more of its own calcitonin. In the same way, it may also help painful knees and loose teeth.

Can AIC therapy help a broken bone heal?

Bone is living tissue, and it can heal and grow stronger over time. AIC therapy may help move misplaced calcium from soft tissues and cells back into the bones, where it is needed. It may also help the body make more of its own calcitonin, a natural hormone that wakes up the cells that build new bone. In this way, AIC therapy may help bones heal better and become stronger.

Cardiovascular Health

Can AIC therapy help with AFib (atrial fibrillation)?

AFib is an irregular heartbeat. AIC therapy may lower calcium overload in the cells of the heart's upper chambers, so these cells send fewer extra signals and the heartbeat becomes calmer. It may also make blood vessels less stiff and lower the pressure on the heart, so the upper chambers are stretched less. Lower stress and inflammation in the cells may also help, because both can trigger AFib.

How many times a day should your patient take AIC therapy for AFib?

For AFib, AIC therapy is taken three times a day. It should be taken on an empty stomach. After AIC, the patient should wait at least 30 minutes before taking any medicine or supplement. Advise the patient not to stop or change their heart medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.

Can AIC therapy help with high blood pressure?

AIC therapy may help the calcium pumps in blood vessel cells work better. It may also control how much calcium enters these cells. As a result, the muscles in the blood vessel walls may tighten less, and the vessels may relax.

Can AIC therapy help with hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis)?

Arteriosclerosis means the arteries become stiff and less flexible. AIC therapy may help blood vessels become less stiff and lower the pressure on the heart. It may also help the calcium pumps in blood vessel cells work better, so the muscles in the vessel walls tighten less and the vessels can relax. AIC therapy may also lower stress and inflammation in the cells.

Will AIC therapy put more calcium into the arteries?

AIC therapy does not give the body a large load of calcium. Instead, it aims to move calcium from places where it does not belong, like soft tissues and cells, back into the bones. It also helps keep the calcium in the blood balanced. Regular calcium supplements are different, because they can cause calcium to build up in the wrong places.

Your patient takes heart medicines. Can they also take AIC therapy?

AIC therapy is taken on an empty stomach. After AIC, the patient should wait at least 30 minutes before taking any medicine or supplement. Ask the patient to tell their doctors that they use AIC therapy. Advise the patient not to stop or change their heart medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.

Dental & Craniofacial

Can your patient use more than one AIC product in the same day?

Yes, more than one AIC product can be used in the same day. The plan depends on the patient's health needs. For example, for one patient with bone loss, dementia, painful knees and loose teeth, the plan was three doses a day instead of four: Highest-Concentration AIC after waking up, AIC Neuro-Support Formula 30 minutes before lunch, and Highest-Concentration AIC 30 minutes before dinner. Set the plan individually for each patient.

Can AIC therapy help with loose teeth?

Teeth are held in place by the jawbone and by the tissues that attach them to the bone. AIC therapy may help calcium work the right way in this bone and in these tissues. This may help the teeth stay more firmly in place.

What is the AIC Dental-Support Formula?

AIC means Antiorbital Ionic Calcium. It is a special form of calcium that helps the body use calcium in the right way. All AIC products have the same AIC calcium base. The AIC Dental-Support Formula has small changes to support dental health.

How is the AIC Dental-Support Formula taken?

Instruct the patient to shake the bottle well just before use, measure 5 mL, and mix it with 300 mL of water. It should be taken within 10 minutes, on an empty stomach. After AIC, the patient should wait at least 30 minutes before taking any medicine or supplement.

Does your patient need calcium supplements for their teeth while using AIC therapy?

While the patient uses AIC therapy, extra calcium supplements are not necessary, so you can stop their regular calcium supplements. Regular calcium supplements can cause calcium to build up in the wrong places. The patient may keep taking magnesium and other vitamins.

Gut Microbiome

Can AIC therapy cause diarrhea?

Some patients may have diarrhea or stomach discomfort when they first start AIC therapy. In many cases, it does not last long. If it is hard to manage, lower each dose by half, continue three times a day, and slowly go back to the normal dose over 1 to 2 weeks. If diarrhea is severe or does not get better, reassess the patient.

Your patient gets loose stools after adding a third daily dose. Should they go back to taking AIC twice a day?

Three times a day is the recommended dose, so it is better not to go back to twice a day. AIC therapy does not give the body a large load of calcium. Instead, it aims to move calcium from places where it does not belong back into the bone. One possible reason for loose stools is that calcium starts to move around the body, including the gut, while the body adjusts, so it does not always mean the patient cannot handle three doses.

Can your patient take a smaller dose only at midday?

Lowering only one dose is not recommended. It is better to keep all three doses the same, at 5 mL each. If diarrhea is hard to manage, you can lower all three doses by half for 1 to 2 weeks, then slowly go back to the normal dose.

Where is AIC absorbed in the body?

AIC is absorbed in the stomach and in the first part of the small intestine, called the duodenum. Regular calcium supplements attach to other minerals, so they do not stay in a free, active form. AIC is a special form of calcium that does not attach to them. This is one important difference between AIC and regular calcium.

Should AIC therapy be taken with food?

No. AIC therapy is taken on an empty stomach. After taking AIC, the patient should wait at least 30 minutes before eating or taking any medicine or supplement. AIC can also be taken two hours after a meal.

Your patient has a sensitive stomach. How much water should AIC be mixed with?

The usual amount is 5 mL of AIC mixed with 300 mL of water. This amount is for patients who do not have stomach problems such as gastritis. The bottle label says 500 mL of water. For patients with gastritis or stomach discomfort, decide the amount of water individually.

Will AIC therapy stop your patient's thyroid medicine from being absorbed?

There are no reports of AIC blocking the absorption of thyroid medicine, and there is no known official interaction between them. Warnings about calcium and thyroid medicine are about regular calcium supplements, not AIC. Still, the patient should wait at least 30 minutes after AIC before taking thyroid medicine or any other medicine. Advise the patient not to stop or change their medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.

Does it matter how your patient prepares AIC before drinking it?

Instruct the patient to shake the bottle well, measure 5 mL, mix it with water, and drink it within 10 minutes. AIC should not be mixed ahead of time or carried as a ready-made dose in another bottle. For a dose taken away from home, the patient should bring the original glass bottle and prepare it just before drinking it. If AIC is not prepared this way, it may lose much of its effect.

Infection, Immunity & Inflammation

How is AIC therapy taken for vitiligo?

For adults with vitiligo, the usual dose is 5 mL of Highest-Concentration AIC mixed with 300 mL of water, three times a day. This amount of water is for patients who do not have gastritis. The patient should take it on an empty stomach and drink it within 10 minutes after mixing. For patients with gastritis or stomach discomfort, decide individually how it should be taken.

Can AIC therapy help with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)?

In MCAS, mast cells, a type of immune cell, release chemicals when they should not, and this can cause flare-ups. Unbalanced calcium signals inside these cells play a role in this. AIC therapy may help balance how calcium enters mast cells and how it moves inside them. This may help calm the cells, lower inflammation, and reduce how often flare-ups happen.

Your patient has eGPA and takes Nucala. Can they use AIC therapy?

In eGPA, a type of immune cell called eosinophils becomes overactive and can cause inflammation in small blood vessels, especially in the lungs and nerves. AIC therapy may help calm these cells, lower inflammation in small blood vessels, and reduce stress in damaged tissues. There is no known interaction between AIC therapy and Nucala. Advise the patient not to stop or change their medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.

Can AIC therapy help lower inflammation in the body?

Calcium works as a signal inside cells. When these signals are not balanced, cells can become stressed and release more inflammation signals. AIC therapy may help balance calcium signals and calm the COX-2 pathway, which is linked to pain and swelling. It may also help lower oxidative stress, a kind of cell stress that can keep inflammation going.

How are calcium and inflammation connected?

When calcium builds up in places where it does not belong, it can keep inflammation going. For example, when a joint is under heavy, repeated stress, the body may place calcium in the wrong spot as a poor way of repairing damage, and this can lead to pain and swelling. Too much calcium inside cells can also overload the mitochondria, the energy centers of the cell, and cause stress. AIC therapy aims to move calcium from where it does not belong back into the bone and to keep calcium inside cells balanced.

Can your patient take AIC therapy with their immune or anti-inflammatory medicines?

AIC therapy is taken on an empty stomach. After AIC, the patient should wait at least 30 minutes before taking any medicine or supplement. There is no known interaction between AIC therapy and Nucala. For other immune or anti-inflammatory medicines, check each case individually, and advise the patient not to stop or change their medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.

Metabolic & Cellular Health

What ionized calcium level should be the target?

The aim is an ionized calcium level in the normal range, about 1.10–1.30 mmol/L.

Could a patient with lead toxicity notice shifts with AIC products in addition to naturopathic treatments?

In lead toxicity, lead's calcium-mimetic behavior disrupts intracellular calcium signaling. AIC therapy supports recovery of signaling fidelity by improving PMCA and SERCA pump function, helping rebuild cellular calcium balance.

Can AIC therapy help with type 2 diabetes?

In type 2 diabetes, calcium signals inside the cells that make insulin (beta cells) play a role in how they respond to blood sugar. AIC therapy may help these cells sense blood sugar better, so insulin release may become more stable. Continue blood sugar monitoring, and advise the patient not to stop or change their diabetes medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.

Can your patient do water fasting while taking AIC therapy?

The patient should not do a water fast on their own, especially if their calcium levels are high. A water fast should be done under the supervision of a healthcare professional. The patient's blood values need to be checked during the fast.

Can AIC therapy help cells make energy?

Mitochondria are the parts of cells that make energy. When too much calcium builds up in them, it can become harder for cells to make energy, and the cells can become stressed. AIC therapy may help calcium move to the mitochondria in a more balanced way. This may help protect the cells' energy production.

Nephrology & Renal Health

Can AIC therapy help with chronic kidney disease?

In chronic kidney disease, calcium signals in kidney cells can become unbalanced. AIC therapy may help balance these signals in the cells that line the small tubes of the kidney. This may help support small hair-like sensors on these cells, called primary cilia. The goal is to slow changes, such as cysts, that damage the structure of the kidney. AIC therapy does not replace the patient's kidney treatment, so the patient should keep seeing their nephrologist and having kidney tests.

Why can kidney disease weaken the bones?

The kidneys help turn vitamin D into its active form. In chronic kidney disease, this can decrease, and phosphate levels can rise. Together, these changes can lead to calcium loss from the bone. AIC therapy may help the body's calcium sensor, called CaSR, work better and help the body make more of its own calcitonin. This may help keep calcium in the bone instead of letting it build up in soft tissues.

Can AIC therapy help protect the heart and blood vessels in patients with kidney disease?

In chronic kidney disease, AIC therapy may help a calcium pump called PMCA1 work better. This pump helps lower extra calcium inside cells. Lowering extra calcium in blood vessel and kidney cells may help control blood pressure. This may also help lower the risk of heart and blood vessel problems. Advise the patient not to stop or change their blood pressure or kidney medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.

Neurology & Psychiatry

Can AIC therapy help with Chiari 1 malformation?

In Chiari 1 malformation, part of the lower brain extends into the spinal canal, and the pressure can stress nerve tissue. AIC therapy may help calcium move in a more balanced way inside these nerve cells, especially in the mitochondria, the energy centers of the cell. This may help protect nerve tissue under pressure, lower inflammation around it, and ease nerve-related tiredness and pain. AIC therapy does not change the malformation itself, so the patient should keep following their doctor's treatment plan.

Can AIC therapy help with muscle stiffness in cerebral palsy?

In cerebral palsy, calcium signals in nerve and muscle cells can become unbalanced. AIC therapy may help balance these signals, which may help the body control muscle activity better. This may help reduce stiff or tight muscle contractions. The patient should keep following the treatment plan from their doctor and therapists.

Can AIC therapy help with seizures?

Seizures happen when nerve cells in the brain become overexcited and send abnormal signals at the same time. AIC therapy may help nerve cells clear extra calcium faster and keep calcium flow more stable. This may help calm overexcited nerve cells and make it harder for a seizure to start or spread. Advise the patient not to stop or change their seizure medicines without consulting the prescribing physician, because this can be dangerous.

Can AIC therapy help with Alzheimer's disease and dementia?

In the brain, calcium is the main messenger that carries signals inside nerve cells. In Alzheimer's disease, calcium can stay out of balance inside nerve cells for a long time, and this can harm the connections between them. AIC therapy may help balance calcium signals and lower stress in the mitochondria. This may help nerve cells send signals more clearly.

How does AIC therapy work for Parkinson's disease?

In Parkinson's disease, too much calcium builds up in the brain cells that control movement. This can overload the mitochondria and cause a harmful protein called alpha-synuclein to clump together, and over time the cells that make dopamine are lost. AIC therapy may help lower calcium overload in these cells and help them clear extra calcium, which may help protect them. Advise the patient not to stop or change their Parkinson's medicines without consulting the prescribing physician.
