Restores calcium signaling
Free Ca²⁺ re‑engages intracellular signaling at the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria, supporting ATP production and normal calcium distribution.
AIC delivers free, bioavailable ionic calcium that absorbs by passive diffusion across the gastric mucosa, with no vitamin D required for transport. It is studied for how it restores calcium signaling inside the cell and moves calcium out of soft tissue and back into bone.
Conventional supplements raise total circulating calcium, but much of it stays bound to albumin or trapped in temporary complexes and never reaches the ionized form cells respond to. Pushing high doses of calcium, often with D3 and K2, has been linked to soft‑tissue calcification and a cardiovascular risk signal that attaches more to supplemental than to dietary calcium.
ACRI calls the result calciumopathy: cells that can no longer control calcium, and a skeleton emptied to cover for it. It often persists after primary triggers such as toxins and inflammation have been cleared.
| Standard calcium carbonate | Antiorbital ionic calcium |
|---|---|
| Depends on gastric acid and active duodenal transport | Passive diffusion through the stomach lining |
| Needs vitamin D for absorption | No vitamin D, peptides or active transport needed |
| Low solubility in preclinical testing | Maximal apparent solubility |
| Much of it ends up protein‑bound and inactive | Free ions enter cells through calcium channels |
| Bulk dosing adds mineral to the system | A precise dose mobilizes calcium already trapped in tissue |
Calcium is the universal second messenger, coordinating energy metabolism, hormone secretion and gene expression. AIC carries ionic calcium with weakened anti‑orbital bonding, so it ionizes along the body’s natural voltage gradients and reaches cells in its active form.
Free Ca²⁺ re‑engages intracellular signaling at the endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria, supporting ATP production and normal calcium distribution.
A larger active pool of ionic calcium modulates parathyroid and thyroid activity and stimulates the body’s own calcitonin release.
Stagnant, protein‑bound calcium is mobilized out of soft tissue while osteoblasts are stimulated to build bone.
AIC produces a sustained elevation of serum calcium ion levels that activates osteogenic pathways, then returns to the homeostatic baseline. The illustration shows the shape of that response, not measured values.
ACRI tracks outcomes with bone mineral density, CTx and P1NP, and presents its findings with independent research partners at academic and clinical conferences.

Mean T‑score moved from the osteopenic range to the normal range. 65% of osteopenic participants returned to normal bone density, and 12% of osteoporotic patients reached normal (T-score change: p<0.0001).

Mean bone mineral density rose 9.4%, with significant gains (p=0.0001) in osteopenia and osteoporosis across age and BMI groups.
Over 13 weeks AIC restored bone density and microstructure and suppressed osteoclast genes (TRAP, NFATc1), with no adverse effects on body or organ weight.
Pretreatment with AIC delayed multiple myeloma progression in preclinical models by improving the bone microenvironment ahead of disease onset.
“Why does a mineral we file under bone health keep turning up in disease mechanisms that have nothing to do with bone?”
I trained as a physician first and completed a PhD in molecular biochemistry and genetics afterward, and for years the two halves of that training disagreed with each other. At the bench, calcium was a second messenger deciding whether a cell divided or died. In the clinic, it was a serum value and a supplement dose.
ACRI was built to close that distance. What matters to me is what a clinician can act on, so patients are monitored with tests you already order.

That is why AIC research spans nine areas. These are conditions currently being studied; ACRI makes no medical claims for them.
Redirecting calcium from tendon, cartilage and synovium back into bone.
Restoring the apoptotic threshold and cytotoxic T and NK activity.
Lowering ER‑to‑mitochondria calcium overload and oxidative stress.
Reducing ectopic deposition so bone, not vessel walls, is the calcium sink.
Restoring CaSR sensing and the activation threshold of T and B cells.
Calcium‑dependent insulin release and bone‑derived osteocalcin.
Host defense runs on store‑operated calcium entry.
Treating calcium as a distribution defect, not a deficiency.
Muscle energy, sleep and cognition through restored calcium flow.
“My dentist insisted there was no way to increase jaw bone density. After a few months of AIC, the X‑rays made the implant possible, much to his surprise.”
Steroid‑induced osteoporosis with fracture. On AIC twice daily for two months, then once daily, the patient was able to walk normally again.
After physical therapy, analgesics and muscle relaxants gave no lasting response, the patient started AIC and reported restored deep sleep, then sustained easing of generalized pain.
Individual, patient‑reported experiences and single‑patient observations. They are hypothesis‑generating, not evidence of a treatment effect, and have not been evaluated by the FDA. Individual results vary.

No. Rather than adding bulk mineral, AIC delivers a precise dose of fully active ionic calcium. It is studied for how it changes the way cells handle calcium internally, mobilizing calcium trapped in soft tissue and redirecting it to bone.
With measures you already order: bone mineral density, the turnover markers CTx and P1NP, and serum ionized calcium.
ACRI’s research program studies AIC both as a standalone approach and as support alongside conventional and naturopathic methods. Treatment decisions rest with the practitioner.
